Buy it never ending fun. My battery is always dead

Okay, Ill say it flat-out. This is my favorite game on the app store. Surprisingly, no one has heard of it. This is the kind of title you would find on the handheld systems such as the DS. This is a unique, fresh, and above all fun puzzle platformer that will put your brain (and sometimes reflexes) to the test. Basically, this is a platformer with NO jump button. Instead, jumps happen when your character, Archibald, moves off the edge of an object. Depending on the speed of your character, you will jump far or just fall down. In addition, Archie can climb up steps if they are one square higher than him, simply by moving. The gameplay is constantly throwing new challenges at you. The first few levels have Arcibald on a skateboard, but later, he will pilot a vehicle that can magnetically cling to steel walls and ceilings. In addition, he will also find magic gum, which when used, will spawn a bubble that the player can control to flip switches or lift boxes which are out of Archies range. There is even a set of levels where you play as the Professor, who floats around the levels on a jetpack. The levels are filled with all sorts of deadly traps and clever puzzles such as spikes, acid, bombs, crates, and mutants. This game is also LONG. There are over 200 levels to play through, and quite a few of them can be tricky to solve. In addition, the developers have posted video solutions on their website for many of the levels in case you get stuck (and you WILL). If i had to nitpick, I suppose the graphics are a bit simple, but for sheer gameplay, there is simply nothing better on the app store than Archibalds Adventures

The puzzles are a lot of fun! There are easy and difficult challenges. I have had to watch the video help a couple of times. The design is phenomenal, and overall the game is one of the best on the app store.

In theory this is a great game. Challenging and entertaining. But for one fatal flaw....the controls. When the level is all about finger dexterity and not using your brain I loose interest and go on to the next level. As is, its 3 stars, fix the controls or leave off the levels that are strickly about speed and luck and its a five star game.

Well worth every penny. Some levels will make you want to scream but you can beat them. The harder levels are mostly about timing. The controls could be better but I think that this is part of what makes the game so challenging. And Firion....you can beat that bonus level. Use your pink bubble directly in front of you and move (slowly) along. The bullets hit the bubble not you. Easy as can be. You withheld 5 stars because of that?? Come on man, thats your inability to complete (not the design).

pros: this is a huge game, tons of levels and with each update, more get added! cons: controls can be flaky at times. other: thinking is the key to winning. pro tip: use your bubble as a sheild on that 1st bonus stage in the great cleanup.

I love the graphics and interactive quality if the game. Incredibly creative. The dev also keeps adding new sets of levels. Totally worth it.

By far the best game in the app store. I would pay $10 for an arch 2 with 100 or so new levels.

This game is too much fun!!! Its challenging in some parts to figure out what to do; yet very interesting to find out that it was just a few steps to victory. I like this game a lot!! And would recommend it to anyone that loves puzzles, and a challenge!!! 5 ***** stars!!!!!

One of the Best Game on iPhone, I Love it. Try it !

The puzzle elements are excellent but some stages tend to be action intensive which wouldnt be a bad thing except the controls are an exercise in fustration and makes some stages more difficult than they should be. Part of the reason (and major part of my gripe) is the continued reliance on a push-button control rather than the analogue-stick style used in most of the better iPhone action games. The other reason is the physics which play a huge role in how some puzzles play out so this is highly debatable. Ive cleared the main stories but Ive given up on a few of the extra stages due to the action elements as they require a rapid sequence of precision timing and control.

This is the best platformer type game on the iPhone. Great graphics, good storyline, flawless controls. Highly reccomended

You need to fix that first bonus lvl on the great cleanup. I beat every other lvl without help but that level is glitched and therefore impossible to beat. The bullets fly at u faster than can be avoided and theres no other possible alternate route. Fix it and I give this game 5 stars.

Fun, challenging, puzzles, dexterity, tons of levels, u wont die and have to start back at level 1- ideal game!! Great fun!!! I started with westbang, which is fun and very addictive, then found this one. Cant wait for the new game!!! Wow, these folkes know how to write fun games! Highly recommend !!!

I love it! This is one of the apps I am keeping forever! The only bad part is when you have to use timing. But what does it matter? I love archibald.

I have played all the major selling, most expensive, most popular games available in the App Store. By far this is the best including all categories. It out shines all the others for your need to think, develop the skills needed to beat each new section. Mainly the bubble gum bubble. It isnt easy. But its not impossible. You may get frustrated but you can go on to a new section. Come back later to beat skipped ones. Or go on to next three or four down. There are over 150 levels to beat and each level may take you a few minutes to 50-60 minutes to beat depending on your skills and solving puzzles. Check out the free version to see. After two years WHY ISNT THIS GAME LISTED ON THE TOP LEVEL OR FAVORITES?

This is by far my favorite iPhone game. You can play it over and over and it is always challenging. Its the only game I have thats survived all four of my iPhones. All my other games get deleted but I always keep this one. Well worth the money. There are well over a 100 levels. Im just waiting for a sequel!! Please!!!!

I love this game, hours and hours of entertainment. The developer has done a great job adding on more levels over time, of course I always hope for another update with more!

This app is by FAR the best game I have found. It is fun, challenging and makes you think. What I like about it: Requires thought; Innovative; Not a timed game; Multiple checkpoints so you dont have to start over; Many levels. This game has provided me hours of entertainment. I hope that there are more levels coming - 191 arent enough!
